About the artist: I am a marine biologist, educator, and wildlife photographer from Southern California. As both an academic and an artist, I find connection to nature through thoughtful observation. I value being able to capture those observations in a meaningful way to take home with me, whether as scientifically recorded data or beautifully framed photographs. From traveling the world in search of exotic animals to exploring local ecosystems in my own backyard, I capture photos that celebrate the beauty of nature and the diversity of wildlife. Each photo I take holds a little slice of life for wild animals that I get to keep and treasure forever. I hope sharing my work with others allows them to likewise bring a slice of wildlife into their own homes and inspires them to form their own connections to nature.
